The celebrity gossip world has been on fire as of late with news that reality star Kim Kardashian is expecting a child with boyfriend and rapper Kanye West. Now that Kardashian is experiencing pregnancy and going through the motions for the first time, she's going above and beyond the call of duty in the baby preparation process.
Recently, TMZ reported that Kardashian and West allegedly spent $11 million on a mansion in Bel Air, fully equipped with room for a nursery and their growing family. The home is privately gated and approximately 10,000 square feet. An Italian style villa, movie theater, basketball court and salon are all parts of the mansion.
While not everyone can be lucky enough to splurge on a home for their little one, there are still ways that you can create a luxurious nursery for your own child without breaking the bank.
One way to get a Hollywood baby-worthy nursery is to focus on one or two items that you really want to stand out in the space. Splurging is acceptable as long as you do it accordingly - this means opting for finer quality on a handful of furnishings rather than everything in the room.
Another tactic you can use to create a stand-out nursery is to seek out secondhand furniture. Look at vintage shops for items you can use throughout the space or ask friends if they have baby furniture they no longer need. You can always add your own personal touches by giving these items a new coat of paint before placing them in the nursery.
